Untitled

The collection 'Untitled' was inspired by the work of the French artist and sculptor Xavier Veilhan and is designed with the same techniques that were used by the artist – human body scanning technology and its computer simplification. The silhouettes were created by scanning generic subjects which are, with the help of modern computer-aided technology, exempted from their former details. The results of the process are surprisingly minimalistic, geometric, and pure forms.

The collection was made with the help of two programs for three-dimensional representation and body creation – Makehuman 1.0 Alpha 6.0 and Blender 2.60.

The collection is the final result of the 2015 MSc thesis 3D clothing collection and computer programs which was presented at the Untitled solo exhibition at the TIR gallery, Zavod Masovna, Nova Gorica, Slovenia (2013) and as part of the Material///Immaterial group exhibition at A:Space, Espoo, Finland (2016).

The collection is the final result of the 2015 MSc thesis ‘3D clothing collection and computer programs’ which is available through the repository of the University of Ljubljana and physically in the library of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering of the University of Ljubljana.

The exhibition was additionally documented by photographer David Verilč, who also made a short interview with the artist. The project has been featured also in the regional newspaper Primorske Novice in an article by Maksimiljana Ipavec.
