Threading Helsinki

Threading Helsinki is an iteration on the theme of Threading - a continuing project where the artist informs and engages the community about responsible consumption. The event is open to everyone, free of charge and the people participating are encouraged to bring their own clothes for repairing, mending or up-cycling. The repairs are made for free and there are also basic sewing lessons offered on-site. As the work is presented to the audience as a performance and a community art project, the artist tries to encapsulate the ephemeral, time-restricted, performance in digital renders and videos.
